What problem was Ronspot introduced to solve?

In April 2023, Tirlán unveiled its new headquarters at Abbey Quarter, situated in the vibrant heart of Kilkenny. Designed as a sustainable workplace of the future, Tirlán wanted to shift away from the traditional office model and embrace the new ways of working for their new collaboration hub with the following objectives:

  • enable the hybrid working model, providing employees with the autonomy to take charge of their work schedules, and allowing them to be flexible and come and go
  • create a user-friendly environment that seamlessly integrates into the employees’ daily work routines, ensuring they have a positive and engaging experience within the workspace
  • maximise the usage of the building and car park, ensuring both resources were used to their full potential

How has Ronspot helped to solve this problem?

Philip McCabe, Strategic Program Manager, emphasised the pivotal role of Ronspot in enabling the hybrid working model, stating “it has really enabled the hybrid working model, it wouldn’t work without it”. Using Ronspot has become second nature for Tirlán employees, it has given them “a really nice employee experience and a good sense of identity and ownership of their working schedule” according to Mary Banks, Office Facilities Manager. And by providing the ability to book timeslots, employees can now share resources instead of “having a space being held in the office for the full day and the employee only requiring it only 50% of the day.” This has led to maximum use and maximum efficiency of the space.

The impact of Ronspot on the

Company

“We are getting a footfall in this building of between 650-750 employees weekly, which means that we are using our space to the best of our ability, and we are doing that because we have a system in place that allows us to come and go on an hourly basis”.

Employees

“It absolutely makes life easier for the employees because you can book on your way in into the office very easily. It shows you what areas are full, it shows you who’s sitting where, so you can book your space on the move.”

Administrators

“It’s really taking away that awkward conversation with the receptionist about two people thinking they have the same space booked because it’s so simplistic to use, it’s really taking away all the potential aggravations that you would have”.

This has really even created more efficiencies for use. We now can utilise our space better. Employees now feel that they have more autonomy than even previously because they can come and go on a daily basis. We are getting maximum use and maximum efficiency of the space.
